We started by selecting companies near the good technical universities. Selected about 20 companies, that we wrote to have a discussion with a lead programmer, review some code that they made and evaluated their pricing model. Based on that analysis we created a shortlist of three companies that I visited. During the visit we interviewed the management team and the developers, which lead to the final selection of our software development partner.

The Apollon application is a configurable application in which you can import and export insurance data in a flexible format. On the data in the system business rules can be executed to identify issues and update fields (also based on external data sources). The data can also be manually improved by users via a configurable user interface. The application is fully fuctional and working for multiple customers. We are currently working on improving our customer onboarding process and improving the way that the business rules can be defined by customers.

The development team consists of 4 developers, assisted by architects and subject matter experts within Dreamix that are external to the core development team. The core developmentteam consists of two senior developers, a medior and a junior developer.

For two months we are doing an active acquisition of new insurance broker companies. After 15 visits to companies, more than 80% of them are very positive and want to be onboard. The customers that we have currently got are very satisfied with the solution and especially with the speed that changes are implemented in the application.

The team is self-directing, based on the scrum methodology. Responsibility for the sprint items are not put on a single developer but are always the responsibility of the team. This has been proven very effective for me.

I would definitely say the culture that they implemented throughout the entire company. It's a caring and sharing culture that is managed internally as well as externally and to their customers (or partners as they like to call). I met Stoyan Mitov in San Francisco who introduced me to the team and I became convinced they were a great dev team.

When they joined, they started debugging, scrutinizing through the code and system. It appeared that Elasticsearch was used as a database which was a problem because Elastic doesn't support ACID transactions. In short, it led to no guarantee that Twitter's authentication token will be available when someone wants to login.

We fixed the many memory issues one by one, moved the database to MySQL and the web app started to operate smoothly. After the fix, Dreamix team started working on new features and was responsible for the support.

### Enhancing Coca-Cola HBC's Distribution Process
Coca-Cola Hellenic decided to invest in an improved Customer Planning Tool(CPT) for two of its markets - Italy and Switzerland.  
Coca-Cola Hellenic had already commissioned the Italian tool’s development. However, they needed a new and reliable software partner to bring it to completion. Dreamix presented our expertise with supply chains and customer-facing platforms to Coca-Cola HBC. After several meetings where the bottling giant evaluated our approach and experience, they selected Dreamix to problem-solve the existing Italy solution. 
As the Italian CPT was undergoing improvements, the deadline drew near for the Swiss CPT. The time constraints were challenging, as it needed to be fully functional before high season. Since Dreamix had already earned their trust, Coca-Cola Hellenic extended the partnership to the Swiss solution. 
For the Italian CPT, Dreamix conducted a full review of the software solution, starting with the infrastructure in Azure, through the SQL database, backend (.NET 6) and frontend (Angular). After a high-paced system audit, Dreamix was able to complete the investigation and propose specific solutions - complete with cost-optimized implementation options - as well as timelines. 
Meanwhile, a Dreamix Engineering manager joined forces with the Swiss team to ensure successful delivery of the Swiss CPT. Using .NET and Angular, we created a comprehensive user management system for the CPT, enabling role-based authentication and access. Furthermore, we developed role-based data filtering for the tool. The team also implemented various bug fixes and critical adjustments to the back- and front-end. Finally, Dreamix adjusted the CI/CD pipelines in Azure and played a crucial technical role in configuring the application for a production environment. 
As a result of Coca-Cola Hellenic’s collaboration with Dreamix, the beverage giant was able to release the fully functional planning tool in both markets - Italy and Switzerland - within its ideal timeframe.

### Delivering integrations to an ARL management tool
Navigating regulation has always been a core challenge for companies. For nearly two decades, MCO has been at the forefront of creating solutions to help overcome this hurdle. In the currently growing complexity of the regulatory landscape, the US-based platform recognized a rare opportunity to make compliance more straightforward for their clients. 
Keeping track of all relevant authorizations, registrations and licenses has always been a challenge with regulatory compliance.  When FINRA unveiled a synchronization with the Web EFT service, an integration with this valuable data was possible.
The first challenge the Dreamix team faced regarding the integration was working with their partner(MCO) and a third-party vendor(FINRA) simultaneously. ShipCars is a leading auto transport logistics company that offers a wide range of tools, aimed at streamlining and automating the entire car hauling process from start to finish. After partnering with Dreamix, the US-based transport partner now owns a market-leading load management solution with new and improved business-critical functionalities. 
 
One of ShipCars’ main selling points is the interconnectedness of its tools. It offers solutions for car shippers and car carriers alike, forming an end-to-end ecosystem that’s revolutionarily straightforward to use. As the company saw more users streaming in, they recognized an opportunity to improve the client-facing part of their solution. 
 
The Dreamix and ShipCars teams joined forces to prepare an MVP within a short timeframe. They designed a microservices-based infrastructure, calculating capacity and required resources for future scaling. 
 
From their combined efforts, LoadMate was born – a streamlined, easy-to-use integrated solution. The platform’s back-end was created using Java with Spring, while React provided a user-friendly front-end. The development team chose PostgreSQL as a robust data management system, and the entire solution was hosted and deployed in the Google Cloud Platform.

### Streamlining Legacy Modernization with Heirloom
Heirloom is an award-winning US-based mainframe modernization provider on a mission to help companies escape their legacy system stranglehold and move to an agile cloud solution. Since partnering with Dreamix, Heirloom has developed several critical migration tools, significantly expanded its service offering, and reduced expenses thanks to new proprietary software solutions.
Heirloom Computing’s transformation strategy revolves around transpiler-centric migration that puts the client in complete control of their modernization journey. As the company’s COBOL business expanded, they identified an opportunity to meet the needs of more clients by enhancing integration with their JES/JCL engine for batch processing and the development of a next-generation transpiler for refactoring PL/1 applications to Java. 
Such pioneering software upgrades, however, require a lot of technical manpower and niche expertise – more than Heirloom’s in-house team could offer at the time. They recognized they needed external help in order to maximize their service offering. 
The first thing the team started to work on was a compiler, refactoring COBOL – a programming language dating back to 1959 – into modernized object-oriented Java that can be deployed to any cloud. Dreamix also got to work integrating Heirloom’s JES/JCL batch processing engine into the solution stack.
At the same time, a combined team worked on creating a different compiler from scratch – one that could transpile PL/I code into Java source. The technology stack used by Dreamix for these two projects was very similar:

### PowerDrone's power grid inspection platform
PowerDrone aims to simplify the complex task of inspecting hard-to-reach energy infrastructure and classifying assets. After careful market and business analysis, PowerDrone decided to partner up with Dreamix and create a multi-tenant platform where clients can inspect their power supply infrastructure.
 
PowerDrone drone operators take large numbers of pictures of energy infrastructure, and those pictures need to be processed. 
 
As the company grew, they identified the possibility of using the latest technological advances to automate parts of the process. By investing in a new modernised platform, PowerDrone could offer a more effective service, reduce service&operational expenses, and increase its competitive advantage. 
 
The project started with a validation phase. Dreamix engineers helped develop machine learning algorithms and models that could be used to automate several crucial aspects of image processing.
 
Having validated the idea, PowerDrone and Dreamix worked together to develop a comprehensive platform for generating and processing power grid inspection results. The Python-based solution combines computer vision models for automated asset classification and identification with algorithms for managing GPS coordinates associated with each image. 
 
As the partnership progressed, the two companies identified a way to process more types of image data in different domains, using advanced ML models.. 
 
The collaboration between PowerDrone and Dreamix has resulted in a comprehensive data generation and analysis platform with several in-demand features.

After a period of quick, stable growth, the company realized it could scale faster by strategically restructuring its software architecture. They just needed technical experts to facilitate the transition. 
 
After a partnership with Dreamix, Twibble has:

As Twibble grew, the limitations of the engine they were using became evident, leading to scalability and performance issues. Additionally, the Spring message queue was trying to save data into Elasticsearch, which also led to issues as the system couldn’t handle the increased load. 
 
All in all, Twibble quickly realized that by rebuilding the solution, they could offer their users a more stable product, as well as reliably scale and meet increased demand. 
 
Dreamix understood that Twibble needed more than just a tweak; the product needed a complete makeover to reach its full potential. The first thing the team did was migrate Twibble’s data to a more robust MySQL server, providing a more stable and reliable data foundation. 
 
To simplify the complex codebase, Dreamix adopted JPA and Hibernate. This transition streamlined code maintenance and enhanced Twibble’s stability. It was also a strategic move to ensure future scalability.
 
Such a large-scale data migration required the utmost precision, and the team performed it carefully, without compromising information integrity. 
 
Finally, to optimize resources and improve system management, Dreamix consolidated server functions. Twibble now operates on a leaner infrastructure, with a single server handling Tomcat, Elasticsearch, and Redis, supported by an additional server dedicated to Logstash.
 


### Empowering Visual Creators with image animation
Plotaverse - a social animation platform - formed a partnership with Dreamix that allowed it to to turn its initial product into a native iOS application, add more functionalities, and build an in-demand social platform around it. 
 
The first challenge for Dreamix was taking over the project from the previous contractor. A team of Dreamix developers, led by an Engineering Manager, visited the contractor’s office to facilitate the handover. After a smoothly handled transition, Dreamix was able to start work on the project. 
 
The first thing Dreamix did was refine Plotagraph and transform it into a native iOS application. The team rewrote the entire application to ensure compatibility and optimal performance on the iOS platform. By making Plotagraph a native app, they eliminated its dependency on web servers and made it accessible to a wider audience. 
 
The native iOS also introduced improvements to the editing process. The application offered a wide range of functionalities, ranging from animation vectors and anchor points to real speed control and export features. 
 
To achieve smooth and responsive animations, Dreamix leveraged the iOS-Metal graphics API, a low-level framework that efficiently utilizes the device’s GPU.
 
Building upon the success of Plotagraph’s transformation, the two companies moved on to the main goal of their partnership – a comprehensive social media platform for visual artists. As a full-fledged social media platform, Plotaverse offered its users features such as:
