The engagement was structured as a monthly SEO retainer, with the agency responsible for delivering agreed SEO tasks and providing measurable improvements in search visibility.

There were no meaningful measurable outcomes that demonstrated clear SEO progress for the commercial keywords we were targeting. While the agency shared reports showing increases in overall keyword counts and some movement in low-value informational queries, these did not translate into improvements for the core terms that matter for my business.

Key rankings for my main commercial pages remained largely unchanged, and the traffic reported did not appear tied to commercially relevant keywords. Because of this, I did not see measurable improvements in visibility, rankings, or conversions for the areas that were most important to the project’s success.

Overall, while the team was friendly, the communication and timeliness did not meet the level of reliability I expected.

The quality of the backlink deliverables needs more attention, as many of the websites used appeared to have been created recently and shared similar structures, which did not give confidence that the links came from established or trusted sources. Some author profiles and images also appeared duplicated across different sites, which further reduced the perceived authenticity of the placements.

Reporting could also be improved, as some reports contained broken links or incorrect files, and several promised updates were delayed or never provided. Finally, clearer communication around the strategy, expected results, and the rationale behind deliverables would have been helpful in setting better expectations.
