I'm the producer of the Ukrainian musical project Authentix. We collaborate with famous Ukrainian artists, and musicians in particular, making folk culture grow

For what projects/services did your company hire Qream, and what were your goals?

As the war started in our homeland, we asked Qream to make us video animation for our patriotic song, that described the current situation from Ukrainian perspective, and therefore to encourage our people stay strong and united against mutual Russian aggression.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose this vendor, when our mutual friends from showbiz recommended it to me. I viewed Qream's works, and their style resonated with me a lot

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

First I sent the song to the CEO of Qream - Bohdan. I explained what this song is all about and then described how I would see the final video to it. It was not necessary for me to control all the details; being an artist myself and having a lot of experience working with artists, I noticed that the best results occur when there's much space for creative process.

Therefore I gave the direction where to move, but let the Qream take charge of all the other details, and encouraged them to propose as many of their own creative solutions as possible.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I communicated directly with CEO Bogdan. It was easy to explain my remarks to him, and after each time he showed the progress of the video, I was happy to notice that all my feedback was very well understood and executed. What I also liked about the Qream approach is that very often Bohdan proposed their own creative solutions to the details I couldn't understand how to solve on my own.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After releasing the video into the world I got some attention from other Ukrainian music producers and artists, what led me to new collaborations. One of them is with Milos, who is considered to be one of the greatest producers in the post-soviet space.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Because I communicated directly with CEO - Bohdan, and because we were on the same wavelength, it was quite easy for me just telling him what I wanted in my own words, sometimes even giving him intuitive hints. He neatly delivered my tasks to his animators, because after each milestone I was happy with the results, I received what I asked for. In general all the process of creating video from start to finish went smoothly for me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach to me, and to our mutual work. It seemed to me that Qream was not a vendor but rather a collaborator (in a good sense). During our creative process I discovered that we have very similar values as artists and also as human beings.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would happily make some points for improvement, as I think constructive criticism is the best thing ever one can give in order to make others progress, but I haven't found any yet.

I am the director of a social enterprise called Next Tech Girls, set up by tech recruitment company Empiric in 2016. We aim to inspire teenage girls to pursue future careers in tech, to get more women in the industry. We do this through work experience placements, online events and training courses.

For what projects/services did your company hire Qream, and what were your goals?

All of our branding had been done several years ago in-house and wasn't very exciting or appealing to our target audience (teenage girls). We really wanted to completely refresh our branding, especially for social media, to attract teenage girls to join our events and sign up for our placements, so that we could reach them directly rather than having to find them via schools, which can be a slow and difficult process.

We wanted the new branding to be colourful, modern, exciting, creative and young, and we wanted everything to be customisable for social media.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We spoke to a few different companies and compared their offerings. Qream was our favourite by far for several reasons - mostly because their previous work was so fresh and modern and we trusted that they would be able to design something exciting for us that fit our brief.

We also really liked that the project manager and designer working with us would be young women, as that meant they could relate to our target audience. Plus the price was excellent and our Head of Marketing had worked with them in a previous role so we were able to get direct, honest (and very positive) feedback from him!

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

We wanted a new logo, colour palette, typography and social media marketing assets, as well as some merchandise and slide deck templates. The whole process felt very collaborative, they ran some workshops with us to understand what we liked and what we didn't like and to guide the direction. They took our feedback on and made as many changes as we wanted until it felt right. They always gave us a few different options to choose from and we could even combine elements from different options.

Everything was completed on time, despite having a short deadline, and the quality was beyond what we imagined. They even created more assets than agreed (I think because they really enjoyed the project) and everything is customisable so we have endless options for social media, which is so helpful.

We mostly worked with the project manager and designer, but we also had contact with a strategy lead, marketing manager, COO and the CEO even joined one of our meetings early on to make sure we were happy with the initial direction.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We've had so many compliments on our new branding, we're proud to show it off to people now! Our partnerships deck is much more impactful and we're getting a lot more interest in working with us since sharing it. We've also made our social media look so much better and our followers have increased by 50% in the last two months!

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Communication was great, we had meetings around once a fortnight, sometimes more often to check tweaks. In between we communicated via Slack and they were always very quick to respond and very helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I loved the passion that everyone had for this project. I could tell that they were really enjoying working on it and were actually sad when it was over! They put so much into it, even producing more assets than requested. They clearly understood our brief and what we were looking for but managed to go beyond what we were imagining and come up with something truly unique that really sets us apart from our competitors.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No areas for improvement, I just hope to be able to work with them again in the near future!

I work for a fundraising organization that supports education, science, and sports in Ukraine. I’m responsible for overseeing fundraising operations for our projects and teams.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qream?

When we established our company, we didn’t have a visual presence, so we engaged Qream to design and develop our brand identity.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We met with Qream to present our mission and vision and discuss our project goals. After reviewing our requirements, the team drafted four brand concepts, including different logos, color schemes, fonts, and visuals.

After presenting the brand identities to our president, we chose the concept to move forward with, and the team executed the final draft. Qream developed different logo versions, presentation templates, and business cards for the final draft. They also supplied us with brand guidelines that outlined how to use the color schemes and logos. 

Qream has also developed our website from scratch to match our new brand identity. The website is an informational landing page that raises awareness for our company. Users can visit the site to learn more about our programs, projects, and recent news in one place. We plan to work with them on marketing and SEO efforts in the future.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked with Qream since January 2022. We paused the partnership for a few months after they assisted us with branding initiatives and started back up again to work on developing our website. The partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The branding and website development efforts from Qream have helped increase our online visibility. They’ve delivered a functional, user-friendly website that has reached our target audience locally and globally, which has benefitted us. 

How did Qream perform from a project management standpoint?

Qream has performed perfectly concerning project management, and everything has gone smoothly. Although we’ve faced some challenges with the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, Qream has been flexible and still managed to meet deadlines. 

They’ve been responsive and receptive to feedback throughout the project. We’ve met via Google Meet and used Telegram to communicate between calls. Qream has also used Figma to share designs, which has allowed us to comment on designs and collaborate efficiently.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed by Qream’s branding style and modern vision. They’ve held themselves to a high standard, which has resulted in fantastic outcomes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing Qream could improve on; we’ve been happy with the engagement.

I’d encourage you to review Qream’s website and determine whether their style fits with your vision. If it appeals to you, then don’t hesitate to go for it and engage them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qream?

We were working with a client that was an importer and exporter. They had a financial solution and were thinking of launching an MVP of a new product, and we didn’t have the capacity for UX design projects, so we hired Qreeam to back us up.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qream provided UI/UX design services for our end clients using Figma. Our first project was the financial solution for the importer and exporter. Later, they worked on a marketing tool's UI/UX for another client. We had another small project with them where they redesigned a delivery service's web app. For this app, they used the end client's brand guidelines and the mobile app as a basis for the design. We've also worked on a fourth project with them.

The team worked using our processes and integrated into our teams; we handled art direction and project management; Qream handled product management and delivered UI/UX design assets. They also integrated into the end clients' processes.

We worked with a project manager, an account manager, a UX designer, and a product manager.

I know one of their teammates personally. First, we tried a small project with Qream; after seeing they delivered and that we were happy with them, we decided to continue working with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Qream's work has received positive feedback from my clients. I was totally satisfied with their work on the MVP project; they really helped our client, enabling them to launch their product. I've also received good feedback for the delivery service app. Qream's UX designer was awesome, and their product manager helped us a lot with the project. Overall, I was happy to work with them — our collaboration was a good experience. 

How did Qream perform from a project management standpoint?

We had no issues with their project management. Although we didn't meet the deadline, they were good at communicating the delay to the end client, and they collaborated with them and us. The team worked on weekly sprints. We used Slack and phone calls to communicate and Notion for project management. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Qream's UX design was really helpful for us

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their UI design wasn't outstanding. We've received some constructive feedback on their UI, though I wouldn't say it was crucial.

If you decide to hire Qream, they'll achieve what you're expecting, so you won't regret working with them.

We brought Qream on for design support. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Qream provides us with constant UX/UI support and supports multiple projects— their UX/UI designer works with us twice a week, although they used to work five days a week. The teammate works on UX/UI design for our app and marketing website with Figma. Anytime we have a design project, we reach out to them because they know our product well and how to work with us. 

Qream also developed our branding. We worked with Julia (Brand Designer) for our branding project. We had an existing brand book that was outdated and very limited. We wanted to expand our design language, add colors, and specify rules for our marketing materials. Not only did Julia do that, but she packaged it all up in a comprehensive branding guide that included a new logo.

How did you come to work with Qream?

My friend worked with Qream on a website, and I really liked their work — they did 3D animation for the site. I got in touch with them, and they laid out what my company needed. Their team was very organized, and at the first meeting, they already had a presentation of what we needed, along with design suggestions. They were prepared, which impressed me, so we hired them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We did a project with Qream that involved designing a new website that addressed new customers — that project went well. We had thousands of subscribers. Other than that, the website and app designs have improved conversion rates. They’ve also helped us a lot with our product. 

How did Qream perform from a project management standpoint?

Staying within deadlines and staying within budget is a minor issue, but that is because we’re not always clear about what we need. However, they’re always clear about what they need and their progress. We primarily communicate through Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Qream has a great team — everyone I have contact with from there is nice to talk to. Sometimes, it feels more like we’re exchanging calls as friends. Since they’ve connected so well with us, they understand what we’re looking for and deliver on the first try; I like their designs.

I have nothing for them to improve.

You should talk a lot about your product so Qream can understand what you’re doing and your mission because it will help Qream better understand how they can provide what you need.

For the product's MVP we've hired Qream team to create mockups and design the overall product based on given wireframes. The team has helped up with tuning the product's UX/UI as well as the overall design, UI kit and design concepts.

The team was given mockups as well as a technical spec of the product. The platform consists of both news and trading games. We started off with creating 3 different design concepts. After choosing the concept, fonts and general UI kit, we continues to work on the Figma mockups and created page by page the entire design of each component. The team came up with great ideas and suggestions that improved the functionality of the mockups.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I'm very satisfied with the overall general UX design. The team understood the design concept that I had in mind and did a lot of effort in order to find a feasible way to implement these concepts. The mockups were used by the dev team that has no issues with the given design and 99% were very functional in the final product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team and I had very good communication and had multiple calls a day when needed. The team has responded very fast to my requests and comments and have provided me with solutions on spot.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The designer that was allocated for this project was super skilled and fast and many times he was doing all the fixes while we were talking. Very professional

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Their design concepts are good, but lack a bit of innovation. Since they worked with given wireframes it might have been a bit difficult to think out of the box and give creative ideas, but I would expect the team to come up with some design innovation that I didn't see before.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qream?

We were transitioning from very few customers to a broad base of customers, so we wanted to redesign our website to start reaching out to the mass of company prospects we had.

Regarding requests, we asked to articulate the basics of our products, and they could go above and beyond that because they served almost as a marketing brand strategy company by giving us clean and efficient ideas.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Qream on UpWork, a popular freelance website and went with them due to their portfolio full of stunning websites + it fit our budget.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We had a few calls at first before the project started to clarify the scope + our needs and goals. We then communicated primarily through Telegram (our preference at EARN) and were presented progress updates in the form of video, messages, and calls. At first, we weren't planning on having Qream help us with our branding but ultimately added it onto our scope and it was a seamless process to do so. After our website was delivered, we had a call to celebrate, provide feedback, and to wrap things up.

In total, we worked closely with 3 team members but had a number of other team members who helped with the backend of our website.

We've had a lot of compliments on our website after Qream designed it. It has helped our core community keep faith in the project regardless of the crazy volatility we experience in the crypto market.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our workflow together was pretty good. Delays typically stemmed from tasks we at EARN needed to complete and had fallen behind on.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with Qream's excellent communication - keeping us into the loop without the need to constantly check in on them. We were also very happy with their skill in design and unique ideas they brought to the table.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Things could have been done faster, but that could have meant sacrificing a lot of the quality design work we received.

I’m the CEO of an edtech startup for realtors and landlords. We’re launching our product because, during the lockdown, we found that a lot of PMs (Property Managers) don’t like working directly with landlords and realtors — due to their poor characteristics. We decided this can be the niche we can get into.

What challenge were you trying to address with Qream?

We had an idea for an education platform, and we needed someone to build the application that will be fully aligned with future users and our marketing strategy.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started the project by having several design sessions where we described our target personas. We then discussed how users can use the platform and the value they will gain from it. Moreover, we discussed some architecture for future users and how they will work with the several iterations of the platform.

We wanted to create a good design for our idea, so our team did the wireframe for several screens for the app — they then transferred the mockups to the Qream team. After that, they started the work for the UX/UI design and the business strategy.

Additionally, we provided them 10-pages worth of documentation providing them information on the wireframes and the design we wanted.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact was Victoriia (Junior Product Manager), and we also worked with a UX/UI designer.

How did you come to work with Qream?

We found Qream on Dribble. We had about 8–10 proposals from several other teams, but when we started speaking with them and asking them about their suggestions for the project, they only gave us an estimation of what the resource will cost us. The Qream team, however, were very proactive, had their own vision, and I had a feeling of what they were going to make. They suggested a lot of ideas on how we can launch, as well as the need to build clickable prototypes. 

That’s when we decided to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $40,000 on this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2020–March 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We did some tests with applicable prototypes and had 20–25% successful registrations from our control group. After that, we checked several options on how to organize the demonstration, and they raised the conversion rate from 16–32%.

How did Qream perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked through Slack and Telegram for communications. We also used email to send official information and used Jira to manage the project.

Victoria did an amazing job. She was really easy to communicate with, and I had no doubts about her profession. They always kept me updated and were always in touch — I didn’t experience any lack of communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their proactiveness. They really wanted to help, and knew exactly what they were doing. They didn’t just work through our requirements, but they also suggested alternatives that really worked. In addition to that, they were also very innovative — we talked several times and they sent me a lot of information about new approaches in design.

They were really good in customer development, prototyping, and designing the visual aspect of the platform — I was really satisfied with their vision. Another thing I liked about them is they had separate specialists for UX and UI design. Choosing Qream was a very good decision because we had a full team of professionals who know their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Even if I was a picky customer, I don’t think I’ll find anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It would be better for the engagement if you describe your vision based on what you want to achieve. They will then suggest several options on how you can succeed.

I'm a marketing manager leading the events and community initiatives for a global tech company in the cloud space. The company has a SaaS solution for enterprises, reducing their cloud cost.

We've created a sub-brand to host Developers community summits around the globe. due to COVID-19 the project became virtual. The existing web page and brand we had didn't look good, and didn't fit the target audience we're aiming for. I was looking to change the brand completely.

What were your goals for this project?

Create a web page that will look awesome, innovative, and eye-catching. Create a social media appearance, a complete brand that will start out.

How did you select Qream?

I was on calls with several companies/designers, and none were as professional as Qream, I saw different projects they did, they asked all the right questions about my project.

I actually started working with Qream and 1 more company at the same time, paying them only for the first part of 2 draft with a concept to the website. Qream won by far, I really liked where they took the concept, they really listens to instructions.

I was working only with Yaroslove - who's managing the project. It's very convenient, connecting with 1 person who's in charge of the hand-on team members. There were UI/UX designers, illustrator, and at a later stage a web developer, who I was in touch directly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The brand is not selling a real product, not we have funds to promote it digitally. so at the moment I can't see the success. Only from great feedbacks across my industry (cloud)

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager - Yaroslove is very communicative, we were taking via slack, emails, and hopping on calls on a daily/weekly basis. Everything was done very fast, in a timeline that doesn't go over 4-5 days from the day I requested a specific task.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Listening to directions! From step 1, they listened carefully, took notes, asking the right questions, and implementing everything in their work! It's very rare to find designers that will supply exactly what you've been asking for.

Also, they are very innovative, thinking one step ahead, adding features to the website I didn't even think of!
