I am the Marketing Director of an Air Ambulance provider. We perform long-range patient transports in Learjet aircraft outfitted as an airborne ICU to domestic and international locations. We also provide repatriation worldwide on commercial airlines.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have improved our cost per conversion by 100% consistently exceeding our goals. We've increase user experience via the landing pages. They have improved tracking to identify leads more effectively. And we've more than doubled our revenue from our PPC leads. They provide weekly status as well as monthly calls to review campaigns and performance. A dashboard is provided for me to check in at any time, and they've accommodated platforms we're working with.

Their communication is very predictable and reliable. I get communication every week about the campaign and what they are doing and working on. Then every month we review it all together. Their style is laid back but effective. They're always responding to emails day of.

They're a start-up with qualified and smart people to do the job. They were unique to us because of their previous experience with the company in our industry. Not many people understand what our business is so that was a plus in terms of starting the campaigns quickly and efficiently right out of the gate.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I come to them with a lot of test information from Google, I wish they would be more proactive about informing me of Google/Bing updates before I hear the news myself.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The issuing rate is double competing vendors. Out of the leads that they poll, 30% of them have turned into appointments, when we used to hover around 15%. Now, we get much more out of the ledger that they deliver through Google Ads. Sales were over $100,000 in the last quarter, so not only are we able to issue more leads, but the leads are more responsive to our phone centers. The quality of the leads they deliver is better than other vendors we’ve worked with in the past.

How did Megethos perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. We talk to them every two weeks and give a summary every week. Other vendors have let our budget get out of control in the past, but Megethos has been very sensitive to our selling seasons and using our money efficiently.

Overall, the contact and reporting have been regular. We don't use their dashboard as much, but the reports that explain what’s going on are our favorite part of working with them. They send out an email, and it’s very helpful.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They never miss a call and are very thorough in their communication. They provide a call schedule, and we go through it every time before the call. Adam usually deals with us, but Coree or other team members are also on the call. Then, they send a follow-up email with a list of the action items we talked about, which helps us remember if we owe them a report, a piece of content, or something else. They always follow up immediately, so we feel that they really listen to all the details.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their dashboard is a little sketchy for us. They’ve changed it once or twice, so I’m not sure if the information is up to date. Usually, we go into the Google Ads account and look there. Other than that, there isn’t anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d encourage anyone to talk to them, listen to them, and look at how they handle things. However, I’d only suggest them to companies that are over $3 million in annual revenue. Their services are better suited for medium and large companies.

Thanks to Megethos, we’ve consistently seen our cost per lead decrease while our conversions increase. The number of clicks and searches is also growing. The team is optimizing our campaigns continuously.

How did Megethos perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great at project management. We have weekly reports from them that outline the performance of the campaigns. Every two weeks, we have a Zoom call to go over strategies and review the program. In that meeting, we talk about events in our service area, such as policy, news, and weather, which they use to improve the campaigns. The rest of our communication is email-based. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with how well Megethos knows their craft. They’re nimble and continue to optimize their service. I’ve worked with service providers that have run campaigns, and when I’ve tried to question the performance, they’ve given me baloney answers. With Megethos, I immediately get a response to my questions, and they always propose campaign improvements. 

The team gives our campaigns a high level of attention, and they know their stuff. The proof is in the pudding — our leads continue to rise, our costs continue to decrease, and our rank improves. Megethos has been hands-down the most reliable and consistent vendors that I’ve worked with, and they’ve given us the best service.

No, there isn’t anything they need to improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You have to be involved with Megethos. They can’t just make you the best if you’re not asking questions or providing content for them. You should give them a good understanding of your industry, competitors, and what may be happening in the market. While I’m sure they’ll increase anybody’s online performance, you have to be engaged to get the full value out of your investment. As far as I’m concerned, Megethos is the best vendor I’ve ever worked with.

This project with Megethos began around July 2020, and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We don't measure our ROI with Megethos, but that's because we're using a grant to fund our Google Ads campaigns. We're a little different from other clients in that way. However, we do track other performance metrics. 

Historically, there was a little disconnect between our mission and its Google Ads performance. Before working with Megethos, we weren't able to spend our entire nonprofit grant, but we've since changed our strategy and now spend the total amount. 

Since I've been working with Megethos, we've been able to generate about $2,300 in revenue from our campaigns. We have over 35,000 clicks to the site, a 23% increase from the previous period. This change can probably be attributed to the changes we've made to our strategy. Their optimizations, including the image extensions, have resulted in a 238% increase in our click-through rate. 

How did Megethos perform from a project management standpoint?

We don't have any issues with Megethos' project management. Since we have a $10,000 grant, they can't exceed our budget. Megethos is very organized and identifies client and agency deliverables during our monthly reporting calls. When they need to deliver something, they complete the deliverable in a timely manner. Typically, they provide completed deliverables by our next monthly call. 

Typically, we communicate with Megethos through email. We have access to a Google Doc that holds our agenda and what Megethos has delivered. This agenda is used during our monthly calls, so we can include information we want to discuss during that meeting. We also utilize the Google Studio Data reporting dashboard — Megethos provides weekly updates. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Megethos is really organized and good at executing projects. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Megethos is really great at executing projects, but they need to become subject matter experts when it comes to strategy so they can answer client questions. There have been some cases where they weren't as knowledgeable in certain areas, but they've been good at getting back to us with an answer. I was expecting a lot of ideas and direction from Megethos to provide feedback on.  

While Megethos is good at executing on specific items the client gives, I've found that they had a loose understanding of what my organization does. Because of their limited understanding, our partnership wasn't successful in the early stages. However, in Fall 2021, we started giving their team more specific directions — those directions were needed to yield positive results. That isn't necessarily a downside, but I will note that Megethos needs clear directions and more information about their client's organization to be successful. Overall, I'd appreciate it if Megethos provided more strategic initiative when it comes to creating new ideas and pushing the needle further. 

I've also seen room for improvement in the analytical portion of the agency. It's typical for agencies to have more technical expertise in-house to execute some projects when clients have limited bandwidth. However, I've had to do a lot of that work myself, tagging, tracking conversions, and checking code. I expected Megethos to have an in-house developer to handle that for me. Honestly, I was surprised that Megethos didn't have an analytical or development base on their team. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Megethos is a great firm to hire if customers have a firm idea of the strategy they want to put forth and the metrics they want to track. It's important to know what success looks like — customers need to be heavily involved during the project execution. Since that is the case, I wouldn't suggest hiring Megethos if customers don't have experience in digital or paid media.

I’m the SEM manager for an urgent care system spanning the US and some major hospitals in California, New York, and other locations. My primary responsibilities include managing our paid search channels.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We first engaged Megethos, my primary objective was to ensure they had all the tools they needed to access our account. The first thing they did after that was audit our account from top to bottom. The team gave us recommendations, and we made major changes to our account. They utilized many first-party data and dove deep into the weeds to fix some problems, such as inconsistent audience targeting. 

To elaborate, we were seeing incredible growth at that time. However, our performance wasn’t up to the level that we wanted because of the original campaign set up by our previous provider. As a result, our teams strategized with Megethos and restructured the entire account. We took what we learned from the previous one and rebuilt everything from the ground up.

Currently, Megethos works on presenting reports to us on a monthly, weekly, and ad hoc basis. These reports showcase everything we’ve done for the month, including key highlights, performance metrics, and the next steps we can take. On top of that, the team also works on our budgeting needs. A big portion of our work goes into ensuring that everything is optimized and that our campaigns are getting sufficient funding.

Moreover, Megethos creates dashboards for us on an ad hoc basis. We can access these dashboards 24/7, and they pull data directly from Google. The team also serves as our one-stop shop for any analysis we may do on our side. I then deliver all their insights to our internal team. 

Further, the team helps us with creating ad copy. They provide suggestions and give their recommendations on best practices. If any copy gets flagged, they tell us about it and give us insights into why the copy is flagged. They also check for any similarities across various copy pieces and offer change suggestions to fix issues. Megethos also creates various assets for us, such as display ads.

The team composition has fluctuated a bit over time, but we generally work with 5–6 people from Megethos. We interface regularly with their CEO, director, and senior analyst. A project manager is also involved in the engagement. Another person helps out on the backend side of things.

Our VP found Megethos. She was searching for a new PPC agency, and we had many agencies on the table. She then set up meetings with me and those teams. One of the things we truly value is efficiency, and being in the healthcare industry, one of our primary success metrics is the cost-per-booking rate or the cost to gain one person on our website. Comparing Q4 of 2020 versus Q4 of 2021, our cost-per-booking rate has been reduced by more than 50%. That’s incredible — it means we’re doubling our return for every single dollar we spend.

Megethos has met every single deadline we’ve set. Depending on prioritization and bandwidth, there might have been some fluctuations in their performance. However, these are major projects, and they’ve met every major deadline with flying colors. Apart from that, they also ensure that we have time to review their work and that I’m in the loop to approve their outputs. Simply put, they’re highly communicative and flexible. In terms of budgeting, Megethos is extremely efficient and knowledgeable when it comes to managing our dollars. 

For tools, everything is done through Google Suite. We also use Slack as our primary communication method. We have weekly and ad hoc calls with them. Overall, we’ve never lacked in communication. Our team is fully remote, and Megethos works flexibly with that. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Megethos brings plenty of industry knowledge to our team. They’re great at communicating what’s valuable to us while filtering out what’s not as valuable. Other agencies go over huge metrics with graphs and numbers to executives that have no ideas what they mean. By contrast, Megethos is good at going over specific details and technical aspects when they talk to me and our company director. They’re also good at speaking about high-level goals when required.

Beyond that, the Megethos team gives plenty of great recommendations based on their experience with their other clients. They tell us what has worked successfully for their other customers and ask us if we want to do it, too. That’s one of the biggest things they bring to the table. 

Furthermore, other teams don’t show as much consistency as Megethos does. Over time, teams get comfortable, and once people get comfortable, deadlines are sometimes missed. That’s fine at first, but it’s not okay when it becomes a pattern. Luckily, Megethos has been truly consistent. Even after working with them for over a year, it still feels like it’s our first week of working with them in terms of consistency.

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be afraid to overcommunicate with Megethos about your needs. The team does a lot of the heavy lifting; they have such a powerful auditing system and an in-depth view of your account — take that audit offer and go from there. 

Their resources are also friendly, and that’s rare. They genuinely care about your business, while many other agencies don’t. Other teams will work for you, but they’ll stay within their scope of work. Meanwhile, Megethos will develop a real relationship with your team. They’ll work to understand your difficulties, and they’ll be on top of them. Overall, if you’re going to work with them, know that the engagement will get easier over time.

We were working with an advertising agency that couldn’t produce the results we needed to gain traction in paid advertising, so we decided it was best to move forward with a different partner. Once we onboarded Megethos, we tasked them with handling the PPC pipeline for our core business. They then created a landing page and highlighted our scent sampler to increase brand awareness and drive higher sales.

Apart from ensuring the efficiency of our paid advertisements, they also conducted an analytics audit and dashboard cleanup to guarantee the accuracy of our database.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We set target rows to gauge the efficiency of Megethos’ work, and their team unfailingly met all of those and even exceeded some. Since they created transparent reports that allowed us to monitor our ad spend, we focused on improving our ROI. Additionally, their PPC efforts and target audience engagement led to an increase in our order value. 

How did Megethos perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicated via email and relied on Google Sheets for progress monitoring. Megethos was a reliable team with an efficient and organized workflow. They offered additional support when necessary to help speed up the overall process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Megethos was a team of genuine resources with a high level of integrity. They constantly showed up with productive ideas, so we were always confident about the project’s success.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their future clients could benefit from an improved documentation system. During our project, there were instances wherein monthly reports were not consistently released. In my opinion, having those reports is important to help clients have access to integral project information.

Megethos is a reliable team that understands PPC through and through. If your industry is highly specialized like ours, make sure to communicate all your needs and expectations to their team.
