I’m the president and owner of a multi-faceted company. I have catering experience so we do catering, consulting, event planning, and real estate as an investment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty - Vero Beach?

I was trying to plan events in commercial real estate, such as weddings, seminars, and occupational workshops, and we needed commercial facilities to do these things.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When I'm facilitating events, such as weddings, some of the first things I look for are refrigeration, cooking, and heating. Berkshire Hathaway was able to give me four kitchens and a commercial atmosphere where I could have a reception and a ballroom.

So far, they’ve helped me find over 200 facilities for my events over the past 10 years.

They have an office not too far from me and not only do they help me with my business, but they also help me with my personal needs. I find them to be the best in commercial real estate, as they always want to make sure you’re happy.

How did you come to work with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty - Vero Beach?

My husband actually had the initial point of contact with them because he wanted to see a condominium around the corner from where I live. He told his contact about what I do, and they said they can help me with anything — he introduced us and we began talking.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested somewhere between $500,000–$1,000,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing relationship started in January 2011.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

It’s been a fantastic partnership, as they’ve been able to give me purposeful facilities and provide my needs.

We typically communicate by phone and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by how they’re just fabulous people and I would recommend them to anyone. They’ll definitely help you with everything and I always bring them up in conversations even without being asked.

Moreover, their website is absolutely fabulous and they communicate things really well. They have a platform that provides us with all our needs and they’re very good at matching us up with the perfect solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing at all. They should just keep up the good work because they’re definitely on the way up.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would advise you to do your research and find out exactly what your needs are. In addition, you should always be prepared when talking to them. List down your questions, expectations, and keep notes.
