I’m the senior project manager at Netia, the second biggest telecommunication operator in Poland. I’m responsible for delivery and maintenance of business products for business clients especially products from all sectors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Euvic?

We needed a company to outsource IT work to.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They fully supported me in remote, local support. We are trying to resolve the main problem with PCs, machines, and devices and all the software that has been installed on these devices. It’s a very customized project. I rely on the big IT knowledge of Euvic. The last project I remember was a custom project which was a portal for developers who are trying to deliver their services to their end-users. Euvic’s responsibility was full support for the end-users and specialists. It was a very large scoped project.

We work on other projects with them as well. We have permanent status meetings to talk about what we’d like to improve our products and how we’d like to promote together on social media and marketing as a whole.

There’s a project manager/scrum master and someone on the second line of support to define how our operation process will look between us, end-users, and the business client.

We sent out an RFP to select companies and we chose Euvic because of their knowledge and the specialized projects they’ve done. Their experience was very important to us. They were a clear choice for us.

All the requirements from the customer have been fulfilled by Euvic at a suitable price. We believe this will be a success together.

How did Euvic perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re trying to set permanent meetings to talk about the status of our cooperation. We try to meet via video connection. I have permanent contact with the account manager who has been assigned to us. We talk about business leads we can achieve together.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are the most professional company I’ve worked with. They’re a very flexible company. They try to find the most proper solution for our customers at a suitable price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We are at the beginning of our cooperation. There’s nothing I’d have them improve at this point. All our expectations have been met

We haven’t had problems with deadlines. They follow the schedule. We communicate through our internal system for maintenance requests, which Euvic’s team logs into.

There’s nothing that I could mention. We have thousands of projects with various suppliers. They're doing their job well.

The work Euvic is doing for us is pretty straightforward. I’m not familiar with their full portfolio, in order to mention something.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I was the board member responsible for sales and technology for the company. The company was established as an integrator of telecommunications services. It provides advanced IT security, collocation, and hosting services, builds corporate networks, and offers data center services located in its own server rooms. It also provides traditional ICT services - Internet access and telephony.

For what projects/services did your company hire Euvic?

Our company has won a prestigious contract for maintaining the Polish-wide educational network of more than 20,000 schools. To well prepare for such a demanding project we needed to adjust and customize our Jira based systems very quickly. We decided to ask Euvic for help because we knew they have the best developers in this field and also huge experience in agile methodology.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to develop our systems, especially helpdesk and provisioning, adapt them to a much larger scale and meet the customer's specific requirements regarding service processes, SLA, response times, reporting, etc.

SOLUTION

How did you select Euvic?

I knew the Euvic Sales Director from previous projects. We knew from experience that they could be trusted and we would get the best possible support.

Describe the project in detail.

During several meetings, we discussed the requirements, established a schedule, and assessed its feasibility, we agreed on the managers and the way of working best suited to the scope of the project. We agreed on a weekly reporting method. We discussed the risks and how to solve them depending on the category.

What was the team composition?

We have our own managers. Euvic provided us with two–three developers depending on project intensity. We also agreed on additional support if needed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were getting very good feedback from our customers on quality and on schedule. That was not obvious before hiring Euvic.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There was no problem in communication between the team. We use Jira to manage the workflow.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Broad knowledge of the subject, positive attitude to work, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We can always expect something to be done faster and cheaper, but in this case, it was very good.

We’re a roofing company headquartered in Reading, UK. We have a CIO and several directors. One of the directors is a business partnering director, and I report to him.

My role is IT business partner for two regions, North and Southeast. The North contains Poland, Russia, and the Baltic countries; and the Southeast includes Austria, the Adriatic countries, Bulgaria, and Albania.

I’m not managing a team directly. We have a matrix responsibility model, meaning that I’m responsible for the entire IT area across those countries. The Reading IT group provides me with IT support in terms of their own resources or external supplies.

One of those is Euvic, which provides workplace services and support for two main Poland locations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have two main sites in Poland. Euvic sits at those sites, mainly responsible for end-user support. They prepare and maintain workstations, prints, and everything else that requires on-site intervention. They’re responsible for software installations and configurations.

The team maintains our asset-management database. They’re the eyes and hands of our infrastructure team, and they can manage network devices, including teleconferencing systems.

In our production environment, where the operation technology team is crossing with the IT team, we have devices connected to our network that are monitoring production processes. Euvic is responsible for keeping those devices running correctly.

The scope of their work is quite wide. If the service desk isn’t able to resolve the issue, Euvic will redirect the ticket to another line of support.

I’m working with two people, one per site. They’re supporting over 400 users. I’m only responsible for our collaboration with them in Poland.

How did you come to work with Euvic?

They were chosen by the head of our team here before I joined the company.

We started working with Euvic in April 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re happy with their services, and we’re trying to expand their responsibility to include the Baltic countries. So far, so good, and I have nothing negative to say.

How did Euvic perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m very happy with the communication and collaboration between our teams. They operate as though they were our own employees, and it’s difficult to recognize that they’re from a different company.

We’ve implemented some changes in our model from an IT perspective. I was in direct communication with their team from the beginning. I’m more focused on our agreement and contractual aspects now, so I deal more with the management.

We communicate through phone calls, emails, and remote meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their flexibility. Their team also has a great can-do attitude.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m having a hard time thinking of something. Their people could be a bit more assertive, but it’s not a significant issue.

Perlan cooperates with Euvic with several different projects already, including general IT Support, Office365 introduction, hardware infrastructure management, network security, data backup, software platforms supplier.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal is to increase our company security, as Perlan is still growing, expanding businesses portfolio, we need strong, reliable partner for resources. Euvic is partner that we cooperate with for years now, and have built trust and high level of confidence etween companies.

How did you select Euvic?

After several years of own IT resources development, company decided to outsource this service. There were 6 companies selected, based on internet researches, discussions with our other business partners.

Perlan top management was involved in selection process. Key factors for us were - comapny prised to dedicate resources for Perlan, reasonable price for services, good response time, also they have own Data Center where backup of resources are stored.

Perlan needed hardware and human resources to built safe IT environment. That was achieved in cooperation with Euvic as they were able to deliver high level of knowledge with reasonable hardware pricing.

The most important factor for Perlan is that we have cost under control. Cooperation with Euvic let Perlan avoid spending funds on IT team building and development.

Cooperation with Euvic is well managed. We get response in reasonable time, they are always willing to help. Euvic employees are easy available and resposive.

Euvic's strength is employees engagement. They always find a solution for our problems.

My company provides IT services to companies in the US and Europe. I’m the owner of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Euvic Sp. z o.o.?

We needed to expand our base of partners that could provide certain IT services. At that time, we wanted to diversify because we already had resources in Ukraine. We wanted to have Poland in the mix and we were lucky enough to get together with Euvic.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve done a few projects together. Generally, they provide software development, Microsoft.net desktop application development, and testing services. They used .NET, MySQL, and AngularJS. They cover a broad range of tech stacks, which is one of the very appealing things about working with them.

How did you come to work with Euvic Sp. z o.o.?

When I look for partners, one of the first things that I want to do is meet with the owners of the company. In my experience, the owners set the culture inside the company. I had lunch with the president and founder of Euvic and we hit it off really well from the beginning.

We started in August 2015 and we continue to work with them. We continue to expand our relationship.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

I had one customer call me—who is the president of a company—and thank us for pulling their bacon out of the fire. They had a really difficult system problem that they couldn’t resolve themselves. Things worked out pretty well with our collaboration.

How did Euvic Sp. z o.o. perform from a project management standpoint?

Well, one of the guys that I had the pleasure of working with is an excellent project manager, better than anyone I’ve ever worked with. If I have a tough project, I want to bring him with me. Project management has been a strong point of the work we’ve done together with Euvic.

What did you find most impressive about Euvic Sp. z o.o.?

For me, one of the most important things is the culture. The company is flexible and they can work with big companies, but Euvic is also willing to help smaller companies. They have the size to scale up and take big projects.

Are there any areas Euvic Sp. z o.o. could improve?

Everyone can do better. I can’t pick any big glaring problems. If I were to really reach, I might say that there are some tech stacks that they just haven’t been able to cover. We were looking for some Python resources at one point and then they just weren’t able to cover that tech stack because they cover other tech stacks—.NET, Java, mobile, etc. I understand you can’t do everything.

We build websites and mobile apps. We have an international platform for car drivers where they e.g. can find and book workshops. Important building block for this eco-system is a connected car solution. For our B2B partners we have white label services – cloud ready and easy to integrate into existing websites, mobile applications and internal systems.

What challenge were you trying to address with EUVIC?

We needed to augment our team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project was the implementation of our web portal using Java and the framework Liferay. They have very good specialists in the field of Liferay. Biggest technical challenge was the realization of an e-commerce process chain where the users can book workshop services for their cars (incl. automated cost calculation). After two years, we started to modernize our technology stack. They helped us with backend and front-end implementation to develop a flexible system comprising microservices as well as single page applications. Additionally they supported us programming native iOS and Android mobile apps which were pretty complicated because of the hardware (OBD2 dongle) on the other end that’s in the car. The hardware transfers information out of the car and into the app, which then interacts with a server.

How did you come to work with EUVIC?

I made contact with EUVIC and we did a pilot project to see how it would work. After good success with that project, we scaled up the team. We had bad experiences with other offshore companies but everything has gone well with EUVIC.

How did EUVIC perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is very good even though we’re in Germany and they’re in Poland. They were very reliable. They are in close communication with our architects and product owners. They deliver on time and on budget with quality work.

What did you find most impressive about EUVIC?

They do a great job, are very competent and flexible team players. We’ve had problems with nearshore partners where a key person leaves the team and it slows down the work, but with EUVIC that has been good. They have a good sense of responsibility. If there are changes within the team, they announce it early.

What was the scope of their involvement?

EUVIC has developed a mobile application with the following functions: tours and driver tasks management, additional services management, sign of glass process, communication with TMS based on status logic, warehouse scanning process on driver application, and process for anomaly based on statuses logic. 
The team has also developed a web application and integrated the system between TMS and EUVIC solutions. EUVIC has customized the application for an advanced warehouse scanning process.
