We launched the platform successfully and while there were fixes post go-live that were needed, the team was responsive and worked fast to resolve issues. We continue to work with them. Overall, although there were hiccups along the way, they are responsible and committed to seeing things through.

Previous Project Manager was not the most capable though showed some commitment. However CTO, Mohammer, is now personally leading the team and project. It's been a very positive experience thus far. We communicate via mail, google meet, GitHub, etc.

I was a product manager for Kunai, a consulting company. In there, I was managing the team responsible for building a piece of enterprise software for a client called AEG Presents.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Wednesday Solutions?
AEG Presents is the company that produces Coachella, the music festival. They asked us to build their enterprise software to manage their venues and offers, make audits, and manage all the lifetime of their shows and festivals. For this project, we hired Wednesday to help us build the frontend of an app that makes bookings easier.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, I did all the interviews and talked with the different business entities involved in this project to gather their requirements. From there, we started working on the designs internally and discussing them with the client to get their approval.
Once the designs were done, we translated them into frontend and backend requirements. We provided the frontend requirements and the designs to Wednesday, and they helped us develop all the frontend components needed for this app.
They basically helped us develop a web application with different functionalities for different user interactions. As for the technology stack, they used Ember, a JavaScript framework, for the frontend.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Ali (CEO), Jay (Web & Mobile Developer), and two other people.
How did you come to work with Wednesday Solutions?
We knew Ali from a coworker that we had in common, and we knew that he had experience working with Ember. We chose Wednesday because we found out that their team was very good at Ember and React, skills difficult to find in other development agencies.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July 2017–January 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Wednesday delivered a high-quality product that met our specifications. We provided them with very detailed product requirements, and the final deliverable aligned with them perfectly. Of course, we found some bugs, but small errors are always part of these kinds of projects.
The easy access we had to their team also increased the number of tickets they were able to close. They worked with good velocity, and we had many iterations on the final client's reviews. Overall, they were very good at making changes to accommodate our goals.
How did Wednesday Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Wednesday had a pretty good product mindset. They often reached out when working on a given task and found an issue to ask us to take another look. Their project management was also very good, and they were great at estimating the work.
In terms of communication, it mostly used Slack. For designs, we used Zetin for engineers to access their work. We also used Jira for tracking the tasks and tickets.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Wednesday worked quickly, which was nice. They demonstrated good ramp-up skills, and Ali did a good job training new people on new technologies.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There was nothing I would have had them improve.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be specific about the seniority you're expecting and the language you want their resources to use. They have a range of different people at Wednesday, so be specific about what your needs are.

I knew the founder of Wednesday over the last few years and have seen the work they have done in earlier projects which were known to me. I was also a part of a fintech project which was executed by Wednesday team very efficiently 3-4 years back and amongst the other vendors, Wednesday clearly was the best choice having a first hand experience of working together and feedback from others.

They completely designed and developed JUNO. After having shared the workflows with Wednesday team, they were involved right from product strategy, marketing , design and engineering. They designed the landing page, web application and created the design language for entire suite of applications.
They were also instrumental in developing the business logics, development on API's and the web application which included external integrations.

There were 4 people in the team across product, design, engineering and development. CTO of Wednesday (MAC) was also involved on the project execution along with a Senior member from design and engineering team. Ali was involved in the product strategy and helped define design, product and the marketing strategy.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The team was able to execute the project pretty fast with minimal errors or workarounds. The design, product came up extremely well and hardly needed any to and fro, hence helping us to hit our GTM faster than expected. Whatsoever changes were discussed and agreed were implemented very smoothly and lightening fast. Frankly the whole project was running ahead of schedule throughout the time period.

They displayed a very smooth execution style, and the timelines were perfect. Communication was through Slack, project grid was managed on Notion. .

I'm the head of digital technology at a life insurance organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wednesday Solutions?
We needed support to build web-based digital solutions. We're building a digital integration hub, which is a host of API services. We were transforming the tech stack within our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Wednesday Solutions is supporting us in building a web-based application of API services that will allow our partners to easily integrate with insurance companies like us. The business problem is that we partner with many distributors that need ease of onboarding so that they can sell our product.
We need to have APIs ready, and Wednesday Solutions is building those APIs and is also our IT services provider. We've had workshops with the team, but no documentation has been provided because we're creating it together. The team uses Node.js and AWS.

Our in-house team is responsible for project management, and Wednesday Solutions has met all deadlines. We communicate via Microsoft Teams and collaborate using Jira.
